MECA'S Direct Employee Placement service's charge is equal to 55% of the employee's first month's estimated gross compensation and is 100% tax deductible to the client.  The service charge is always calculated based on a full-time work schedule of 2080 hours per year, regardless of the actual number of hours worked in the first month.  This charge covers the cost of recruiting, advertising, screening, reference checking, evaluating, testing and setting up interviews of the qualified candidates for the position.  MECA's placement fee will be invoiced the day our candidate is offered and accepts a position within your organization, and is to be paid in full within 15 days of the invoice date.  In exchange for payment within 15 days of the invoice date, MECA offers a 30 day, one time employee replacement offer that goes into effect the day our candidate starts work with your company.  If MECA's candidate is terminated or leaves your company within the first 30 calendar days from his or her start date, MECA will replace the candidate with the next qualified candidate that will be the best fit for the position up to 30 days after termination, at no additional charge.  MECA's replacement offer does not apply if you hire a replacement through any other source, if there is a change in the original job specifications, or if you decide not to fill the position again.

 

Temp to Hire:  "Try before you buy"

MECA'S Temp to Hire plan is another way of hiring employees.  With the Temp to Hire plan, the candidate is "leased" to you for 480 hours or 90 days whichever is longer.  The candidate remains on our payroll and MECA assumes the responsibility of payroll, including taxes, unemployment insurance and workers compensation insurance.  MECA will bill your company weekly and invoices are due within 15 days of invoice date.  The bill rate covers both the payroll cost and our permanent placement fee.  the advantage to our Temp to Hire plan is that you have the opportunity to review the performance of the candidate prior to the official hire, while the candidate also has the opportunity to evaluate the position before acceptance.  If you decide to hire the candidate before the end of the 480 hours or 90 days, a prorated conversion fee will be charged.

 

Temporary Help

Meca maintains a pool of skilled employees ready to fill in at your company during a regular employee's vacation, illness, training session, or for that special project.  MECA will bill your company weekly and invoices are due within 15 days of the invoice date.  The bill rate is based on the position and covers the payroll cost, workers compensation, screening, reference checking, evaluating, testing and sending qualified candidates for the position.  Our Temporary employees have a four-hour call out minimum.

 

Acceptance of a MECA candidate(s) from MECA shall be conclusive evidence of your acceptance of our service charge and the terms and conditions as described above.  After you have reviewed our staffing options and have received the Client Services Agreement, fax a signed copy to us at (907) 373-6322.  Once MECA has received a signed copy of this agreement, we will begin a comprehensive search to identify qualified candidates for your position.  Once MECA has exclusive hiring, it will no longer be necessary to advertise for the position on your own.  Our fee covers advertising cost.  To avoid any duplicate applicants please notify MECA if you have advertised on your own.  It is important to treat all applicants equally, in doing so, if a possible candidate comes to your office; we encourage you to send them to MECA to go through the same application procedures as the other applicants.
