MECA is SO much more than just a temp agency, even though that is how the business got its start.  MECA originated in the Valley about 15 years ago and currently has offices in Wasilla and Anchorage - with plans for expansion to Fairbanks and Homer.  In the beginning MECA provided seasonal employees for the commercial fishing industry.  We now provide services to businesses in the way of staffing for any position, whether it's a temporary assignment, or full-time year-round job, in a wide variety of fields.  To do that we keep a pool of applicants registered with us. 

 

Another exciting part of "the best kept secret" is the Employee Leasing service that MECA provides to businesses.  With that service we take care of all payroll administration, from the employee's paychecks to payroll tax deposits and reporting, along with personnel file maintenance, employment verification, worker's compensation insurance and employee benefits.  MECA basically becomes the human resource department for a business.  We strive to lighten the load of the business owner by handling the administrative part of having employees.  This in turn allows the business owner the time and freedom to concentrate on growing their business.
